About Say It

What this is

Say It is a free word-guessing party game you play in a browser with the people around you. Two teams, a short clock, one player describing a word while their team shouts guesses.

It was built for the moment when everyone is already in the same room and somebody says "so what do we do now". You open a link, share it, and you are playing in under a minute.

Why your own words matter

Most word games ship a fixed deck, and after a few evenings you have seen it all. Here anyone in the lobby can drop words into the deck before the game starts, so the round can throw a private joke at you in the middle of ordinary vocabulary.

That is the whole point of the game, and everything else is built around it: the built-in decks are there so you can start instantly, not so you have to use them.

Do I need an account?

No. Creating a room, joining one and playing work without signing up — you only type a name so your team knows who is describing.

An account is there for people who play often: it saves your word packs so you can reuse a deck you liked instead of typing it again, and it unlocks the ready-made themed packs.

What does it cost?

Nothing. The game is free and it is paid for by the ads you see while you play.

If you would rather not see ads at all, there will be a paid option to remove them. Nothing about the game itself is locked behind it: the same words, the same rules, the same rooms.

Languages

The interface is available in English and Ukrainian, and each has its own built-in deck of about 1,500 words written for that language rather than translated into it.

The language of the deck is chosen by whoever creates the room, so a mixed group can play in whichever language suits the table.

Who made it and how to reach us

Say It is made by a small independent developer, not a studio. Bugs, ideas and "the word deck needs this" messages are genuinely welcome at [email protected].
